The all new FZS-FI (149 cc) is marking the first BS VI variant rollout from Samrat Yamaha in India and is revved up in two new colours – Darknight and Metallic Red along with all existing colours. The new FZS-FI comes with a Blue Core concept driven 149 cc engine with a compression ratio of 9.6:1 and delivering a maximum 12.4 PS power @ 7,250 r/min and 13.6 N.m torque @ 5,500 r/min. The new FZS-FI BS VI version will feature single channel ABS in the front wheel along with negative LCD instrument cluster, disc brakes in front and rear and, a single piece two level seat.

Front 1ch ABS & Disc Brake
Front Disc with Bosch Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) helps in achieving improved braking performance by providing better stability and control at all speeds. Rear Disc brake augments more quality to the long legacy of FZ braking system.
149cc Powerful FI Engine
The new FZS-FI model mounts an air-cooled 4-stroke 149cc SOHC, 2-valve, single-cylinder fuel-injected “BLUE CORE” engine, and engine’s settings were optimized to further polish the feeling of superior acceleration from stops and exhilarating feeling when overtaking. The ignition timing and injection maps for the fuel injection system were completely redone so that riders get a good feeling of acceleration while still enjoying the laidback, upright riding position.
Negative LCD Instrument Cluster
The Negative LCD instrument cluster panel has a black background and white lettering. Digital speedometer, bar-style tachometer above, and a fuel gauge are constantly displayed, along with ABS warning lamp while the odometer, Trip 1, Trip 2, F Trip, clock and others can be selected for display. There is also an ECO indicator to enable more fuel-efficient riding.
Comfortable Two-Level Seat
The two-level seat has an excellent feeling of fit and cushioning that works well with an upright, relaxed riding position. The cushioning material has a suitable degree of firmness and is paired with a seat material that offers superb fit to provide a steady ride and comfort for both the rider and pillion rider. The pillion seat has a 16% larger seating surface area, is 26 mm wider in the hip area and is 5 mm thicker for added comfort.
The new LED headlight provides excellent visibility over a wide range with very little unevenness. It uses a reflector with ideal light projection, and separate bulbs for high and low beam.
The lower engine fairing has been introduced to reduce mud and dirt splatter. The under cowl has been designed to enhance the sporty look of the bike.
